The Ad-Vertiser began as an 8 1/2x11 free page distributed to downtown Moab in 1967. The page contained small spaces sold to local people to express their opinions, sell their horse, announce their new business, etc. The paper soon grew to 2 pages, read mostly by our moms, dads, and cousins. Next came paperboys and girls hired to deliver the pages after school to businesses and homes where possible.
Today it's a 24 page+ tabloid read by thousands every week and on the internet to be read by anyone, everywhere! The Ad-Vertiser is still home delivered every Wednesday through established paper routes where available. Copies are delivered in and out of town to merchants in: Moab, La Sal, Castle Valley, Monticello, and Thompson.
